Fresh off Regina’s high school graduation party, the day before leaving on vacation, and on Wade’s 14th birthday, this busy family of six sat around the kitchen table and shared their Ford Plantation story. Whether new to The Ford Plantation or just visiting, chances are your introduction to the Fusile family won’t be Jeff or Teresa—it’s likely one of their four children.
A testament to their parents and growing up at The Ford Plantation, the Fusile kids clearly recognize the importance of being part of a community. Thus the children are likely the first to introduce themselves upon seeing an unfamiliar face—they are incredible ambassadors for what it means to be a part of the community at Ford.
After visiting The Ford Plantation in 2001, the family purchased a lot and eventually relocated to make Richmond Hill their permanent residence. With that move, the Fusile kids started school in Richmond Hill and became more than just a part of The Ford Plantation community.
When the school bus drops them at the front gate, the Fusile kids hop on their bikes to ride home through the splendor of this private community. However, they may not make it home immediately as the smell of baked goods lures them in for an after school snack at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Trolinger. With head nods in agreement from her siblings, youngest daughter Alex explains, “Mrs. Trolinger is the best baker, her house always smells amazing.” This simple after-school snack is just as memorable for the Trolinger’s, Jim says, “The Fusile Family is what The Ford Plantation is all about.”
Moments like impromptu after-school snacks that depict just how much the Fusile kids have been embraced by the entire community. But the support and embrace of the Fusile’s doesn’t stop there. When oldest son Joe looks into the stands during high school football games, he always finds members of his Ford family cheering him on along with his parents. When daughters Regina and Alex wanted a horse, Equestrian Center Manager Kate Jones was with them every step of the way until they finally found the perfect addition to the Fusile family, Fresco.
And whenever the Fusiles are out and about on the grounds enjoying life at The Ford Plantation, everyone knows Team Fusile.
