Henry Ford’s Main House, a place where neighbors gather, was once Henry and Clara Ford’s winter retreat and is now used for social gatherings and member lodging. The Main House is listed with the National Register of Historic Places.

The Golf Course, originally designed and built in the 1980s, was renovated and updated in 2014 by famed architect Pete Dye and boasts beautiful long views, playable angles, and risk-reward scenarios. The course has five separate tees and plays 5,002 yards from the ladies tee and stretches out to 7,409 from the championship tee. It lies in a Lowcountry setting sprawled among the property’s freshwater lakes, rivers, marshlands, and antebellum rice fields. Anglers can fish for a wide variety of fresh and saltwater species in the Ogeechee River, including striped bass, American shad, redfish, and largemouth bass. The remnant channels and canals from the antebellum rice plantations provide outstanding habitat for many game fish. A licensed captain and all tackle, gear, and licenses are provided.

The many artificial and natural reef areas along the Georgia coast provide excellent angling for king mackerel, red snapper, grouper, sea bass, cobia, and even the occasional sailfish. Since fishing for snapper and grouper is usually done between 12 and 50 miles offshore an eight-hour trip is recommended. A licensed captain and all tackle, gear, and licenses are provided.

From May through August, explore the wild side of Lake Clara at night! Get up close and personal with everyone’s favorite animal, the alligator. Also see fish, frogs, and numerous birds and bats, all from the unique perspective of a canoe.
